Job Description
- Location: Tashkent, Uzbekistan + International Travel
- Schedule: 5/6 days per week, with flexibility required
- Start Date: ASAP, following a one-week paid trial
- Salary: From £150,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
The Role
A distinguished diplomatic family is seeking an exceptional Travelling Science Teacher to support the education of their two daughters, aged 6 and 8.
The family’s main residence is in Tashkent, although they travel extensively throughout the year. This is a unique opportunity for a highly accomplished and polished educator to join a formal, fully staffed household and provide consistent, high-level academic support across multiple international locations.
The family is warm and supportive and values educators who combine academic excellence with a calm, engaging presence and the ability to build genuine rapport with children. Natural warmth, discretion and adaptability are essential.
Both girls attend school; however, due to the family’s frequent international travel, they require structured and continuous academic guidance to ensure progress and alignment with the UK curriculum.
The eight-year-old is social, expressive and creative. She enjoys cheerleading, fashion and spending time with friends and requires structured academic support to close gaps in her learning. Her younger sister is calm, focused and naturally academic. She enjoys structured activities and independent learning and, although initially shy, becomes warm and confident once comfortable.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-level, engaging Science lessons tailored to each girl’s age and academic needs.
- Provide specialist teaching across Biology, Chemistry and Physics, where appropriate.
- Create practical experiments and interactive activities that make Science engaging and accessible.

- Ensure continued alignment with the UK curriculum.
- Maintain academic continuity during periods of international travel.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit each girl’s personality, interests and learning style.
- Liaise with the parents, schools and other tutors regarding the girls’ academic progress.
- Work collaboratively and professionally within a fully staffed household.
- Maintain a highly organised, proactive and discreet approach at all times.
Requirements
- An outstanding academic background, ideally including a Science degree from Oxbridge, a Russell Group university or an Ivy League institution.
- A qualified secondary school teacher with a Science specialism; a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is strongly preferred.

- Excellent knowledge of the UK curriculum.
- Previous private household or UHNW family experience is highly desirable.
- Culturally sensitive and respectful of Muslim values.
- Highly polished, discreet and professional.
- Flexible, adaptable and comfortable with extensive international travel.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Female candidates are preferred, although exceptional male candidates will also be considered.
- Seeking a long-term position.
Package
- Salary from £150,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
- Separate accommodation provided, including private apartments or hotels depending on location.
- 28 days’ holiday.
- One return flight home per year.
- Visa support provided where required.
